When the opportunity to work with Aline McCarthy from The Wellness Witches landed on my desk, I jumped at the chance!

The Wellness Witches is a platform where Aline could offer her years of experience in health along with her unique skill set to people who are ready to create a more vibrant life. With a huge range of skills, she has created a community of people ready to take charge of their health and find their own path to wellness.

Aline had curated a super-engaged, 10K strong, following on Instagram and she honestly blows me away with her ability to create beautiful and informative content for her followers on a daily basis. She truly is the epitome of someone who “serves” their followers.

But being so busy with creating all this incredible content as well as being booked solid with clients, meant she had paid little attention to her branding and website.

When we met to discuss the project we were both fizzing with ideas of what we could do to create a brand that would elevate her business and help her take it to the next level, a membership program where she could start curating all this incredible content she produces.

I started with her branding; the colour palette, typography, and logo as well as some supporting graphics that I would use when designing her website and other pieces.

Next up I went to work on the website. Aline had an existing Squarespace website (to see how the site used to look, read to the end of this post!) which unfortunately had been created with no care or thought about the business.

I sat down with Aline and really got to know her personal brand and took the time to understand what she wanted from her business and how her website could help her create that.

Then I went to work. Starting from scratch I rebuilt the site from the ground up, refining all of Aline’s content to create a clear message for users and weaving her brand and story into every aspect.

As I mentioned earlier, The Wellness Witches had a following of over 10,000 on Instagram, but virtually no email list. So the next step was to create an email opt-in gift and develop a delivery system and email sequence for that opt-in.

I used mailerlite for this. It’s one of my preferred email providers and is free for up to 1000 users so I recommend it a lot, especially for people just starting out in building their list.

Finally, we looked at some social media templates in Canva. I love wrapping up a branding and website project for clients with a suite of social media templates for them. Canva is the perfect tool for this as I can create their templates and get this branding looking great and then had the rein’s over to them and know they will have fantastic looking socials top match their new brand!

So, finally. What did The Wellness Wiches branding and website look like before this overhaul? Below I’ve shown you three screenshots from her old website. As you can see branding hadn’t been looked at and the website was clunky and inconsistent.

It’s come a long way and I’m so proud of everything we created.
