Amy came to me for her Personal Brand Photography session full of questions about how it would run and what it would entail. I could tell from our first communication that she wasn’t exactly excited about the idea of a personal brand photoshoot, but being the savvy businesswoman she is, she knew she needed one.
After lots of discussion and answering of questions the shoot was locked in and I for one was excited!
The day before the shoot I noticed my 2-year-old getting sick and by 7 pm that night I could see he was having trouble breathing. Long story short, I was up with him all night and at 1am ended up taking him to the emergency department at the Children’s Hospital, where they told me he had croup and gave him steroids and oxygen to help him get back on track.
I was allowed to leave with him at 9.30am which meant I had just enough time to get home, pass him to my husband, grab my camera equipment and high tail it to the location to meet Amy.
I hadn’t slept a wink and felt I needed to be honest with Amy about why I could barely string two words together and looked like a hot mess.

To Amy’s credit, she took it all in her stride and we got on with things. After such a horror start to the morning, I was feeling a little nervous about how things would unfold, but as soon as I saw the wardrobe Amy had brought and her FABULOUS tattoos the exhaustion washed away and I felt my creativity soar!

Not only did she make organising the shoot itself easy, but she also sourced the location, brought props and researched the type of images beforehand that aligned with the goals of my shoot.
All I had to do was turn up, and she was full of ideas that lead to creative shots that would we couldn’t have planned for. She was on point with her advice and delivered my images just a few days afterwards despite being a busy businesswoman herself.

This shoot ended up being one of my absolute favs. Amy was up for all my crazy ideas and the results speak for themselves.
