If you use social media or other digital marketing avenues to promote your business, then the chances you have stumbled across Canva are pretty high.
Created in 2012, Canva is an online tool that enables anyone to create graphics to market their business.
Specializing in digital graphics, this powerful tool has truly revolutionized the way small businesses go about their marketing.
And although there are still a lot of professional designers out there who think Canva is the curse, I choose to think it is the saviour that allows us to educate our clients on how to keep their brand, website and social media looking tip-top, long after we’ve finished working with them.
I now create social media templates for all my clients after I’ve finished a brand creation or a website build for them. And if they’re open to it, I will set up their Brand Kit for them in Canva.
So, I get asked a lot, is Canva Pro worth the money?
Well, I believe it most definitely is, and here are 16 reasons that will hopefully convince you also.
Oh! And just so you know, I am an affiliate of Canva, however, this is purely my opinion and designed to help other small businesses see there is a relatively inexpensive way to make their lives a WHOLE lot easier.
1) You can create animated graphics
And really stand out from your competitors. You can download these as a GIF or movie format (MP4). Animation Pro is exclusively available for Canva Pro subscribers
2) Download your designs with transparent backgrounds
Allowing you to create graphics that can be overlaid over images, etc.
3) Canva Pro also allows you to remove backgrounds
With a single click using their Background Remover tool! This is a serious time saver and something non-designers really struggled with before Canva introduced this new feature.
4) Resize your designs instantly with Canva’s Magic Resize.
This tool is seriously worth the cost of Canva Pro alone. In seconds you can copy and resize one design for use across Instagram Posts, Instagram Stories, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, your blog, and even a printed flyer!
5) Set your download quality with Publish Pro.
Control the size and quality of your design when you use Publish Pro which enables you to publish your designs with the confidence they won’t be pixelated or blurry
6) Store all your designs in one place!
Uploads Pro gives Canva Pro users access to 100 GB of storage to keep all your designs. You can even add keywords to your uploads so that you can easily perform searches.
7) Not sure how to keep track of all your uploads? Folders are the answer!
Create and add unlimited folders to organize your designs and images within your Canva account, you can move your designs into folders, rename a folder, delete a folder, share a folder or open folders in the editor.
8) Collaborate with your team no matter where you all are!
Canva Pro allows you to add unlimited team members! But remember, adding more members does increase the monthly cost.
9) Create your own custom templates and share them with your team
10) You also have access to 20,000+ premium templates with Canva Pro
11) Stand out from the crowd with stunning images.
Regular ol’ Canva gives you access to 200,000 free images. Pretty great huh! Going Pro gives you access to over 4 million +! Imagine how creative you can get with that. You’ll never be left looking for the perfect image again, and the chances of you looking like everyone else out there is slim to none!
12) Get your brand looking seamless with the right fonts
As a Canva Pro user, you can access over 500 premium fonts
13) Or get truly unique with your own custom font!
You can also upload your own brand fonts to create a seamless look across your website and all your marketing pieces. (make sure you own the correct licensing for your font to allow you to use it for your marketing)
14) Keep your brand assets all in one place and ready for you every time.
As well as uploading your own font, you can create your own Brand Kit, so all your brand assets are within Canva and always available, streamlining your design process. Upload your logos, set your brand’s colour palette and fonts, and you will easily be able to create seamless designs every time.
15) Never worry about making the wrong move.
With Canva’s rollback feature you can always go back to previous versions
16) Get Priority support
That’s right, when you go Pro help is always on hand if you do run into a technical difficulty.
And that’s it!
I hope you can see why I recommend all my clients get Canva Pro after we’ve finished working on a project together. In my opinion, it’s a small investment to make to ensure your brand is always showcased in its best light to help you promote and grow your business!
